Sugar scrubs are a fabulous way to exfoliate and moisturize your skin all in one treatment. Make an all natural one at home that can target your specific skin & body issues using these guidelines.


For this particular ritual I chose the peppermint & rosemary oils. These oils are great for aches, pains, cramps & general refreshment of the body. Try out a citrus oil like orange or lime for energizing. Herbal oils such as lavender & oak moss are great for releasing stress.



  1. Half cup carrier oil [example: olive oil, grape seed oil, macadamia oil]
  2. One cup brown sugar
  3. 10 drops peppermint essential oil
  4. 10 drops rosemary essential oil

Combine ingredients & mix well. Store in an air tight container to keep fresh.

Use body scrubs BEFORE getting wet to ensure the deepest penetration of oil to skin.

Experiment with the amounts & types of oils. Some people might want more or less sugar too.
