CFDA Fashion Awards 2015 Nominations and Designers Contributing to Titles

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has unveiled the nominees of the CFDA Fashion Awards 2015; here are all the designers who compete for the titles

Today is a very important day for those who work in the fashion world, were announced designers vying for the CFDA Fashion Awards in 2015 that could be called the Oscars of the fashion world. The CFDA Fashion Awards 2015 are organized each year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, which this year is chaired by the talented Diane von Furstenberg. The competition categories are many, and for each there are several candidates for nomination, everyone’s dream is to win, and it is normal to be so, but I think objectively it’s a great satisfaction even finish in the finalists.

Let’s see all the CFDA Fashion Awards nominees by category:

Womenswear Designer of the Year: Candidates for this award are Joseph Altuzarra for Altuzarra, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough for Proenza Schouler and finally Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row.
Menswear Designer of the Year: Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne for Public School, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright for Rag & Bone, Thom Browne, Tim Coppens and Tom Ford.
Accessories Designer of the Year: contribute to this award Alexander Wang, Irene Neuwirth, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row and Tabitha Simmons.

The Swarovski awards are dedicated to young talents who are also supported financially, there are three awards dedicated to women’s fashion, to the male and accessories. Candidates for the Swarovski award for womenswear are Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne for Public School, Rosie Assoulin and Ryan Roche. Candidates for the category Swarovski award for menswear are: Shayne Oliver Hood by Air, Alex Orley, Matthew and Samantha Orley Orley for Orley and Ariel and Shimon Ovadia for Ovadia & Sons. Contribute to the premium Swarovski award for accessory design instead Paul Andrew Zuckerman for Eva Eva Fehren and then Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel for Mansur Gavriel.

One of the most important awards is the fashion icon award which is awarded a character who has influenced fashion, trends and it was a global icon a bit ‘for all, this way we’ll find out, along with all the others, the next June 1.

Some categories have instead of the winners that have already been announced and where there were no nominations public, the Council of Fashion Designers of America decides independently and candid fashion designers who considers particularly deserving.

The prize Geoffrey Beene lifetime achievement award this year will be delivered to the talented Betsey Johnson.
The International Award will be given that all Italian designers have been chosen to head the Maison Valentino, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli.
The founder’s award the prize in honor of Eleanor Lambert will entrepreneur Millard “Mickey” Drexler , CEO of J. Crew Group, founder of the retail chain Madewell and former CEO of Gap.
Finally The average award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard will be delivered to Instagram , the popular social network that helped popularize fashion using a universal language and immediate which is photography.
