Asus VivoMini UN42 and UN62 Now Available in Europe from 149 €

Asus VivoMini UN42 and UN62 VivoMini come into stock in online stores in Europe with the possibility of shipping in Italy. The configurations available in Germany are mostly the ones with the operating system pre-installed (Windows 8.1), while you have to move to the UK to have all the cheapest barebones. Too bad that in the second case it is much more difficult to get ship the product in our country.

Asus VivoMini UN42 and UN62 in Europe from 149 €

For 249 euro (+20 euro for delivery in Italy) computer universe provides configuration UN42-M021Y with 32GB of solid state memory (likely an eMMC), 2 GB of RAM, Intel Celeron 2957U and Windows 8.1. For € 439, the same store in German stock variant UN62-M014M with 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD, Intel Core i3-4030U and no OS. A 569 euro, finally, there is the most powerful configuration (UN62-M016M) with 8 GB of RAM and Intel Core i5-4210U - again without OS.

If we move in the UK, we VivoMini UN42-M016M to 149 euro without the RAM, disk, and no operating system (version 2957U) of dabs.com or the most powerful barebones UN62-M00180 no RAM, no hard and without OS but with Core i3 CPU at 299 € of lambda-tek.com . It must be said that the latter two prices are a little higher than it should be the official price lists.

Asus VivoMini is a Mini PC compact, real rival to Intel NUC and the like, with good components (ac WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI + DVI and USB 3.0) and with a decent chance of expansion. It is a sort of Asus VivoPC in a shortened version - but also more powerful - finished and assembled in such a way as to be valid as from the living room PC. Asus Italy has not yet announced the arrival of this line in our country, but the distribution is not should be at risk.
